Green Turtle Yoga is a blending of my love for turtles and yoga - not necessarily in that order. I love all turtles -not just the green - and work at the Virginia Beach Stranding Center helping retrieve both dead and injured sea turtles.
As a physical therapist for almost 40 years I never appreciated what the ancient practice of yoga can do for the body as well as the mind. I started yoga at the age of 50 and received my 200 hour yoga certification at 53. Last year I became a certified yoga therapist. Whether teaching a private class or group I use both backgrounds to make sure my students are able to practice safely.
Plastic kill millions of fish, mammals and turtles as they ingest them mistaking them for jellyfish and other food sources. Use canvas or other reusable bags and recyle the ones you do use. Avoid using single use plastic bottles and straws.
